At J. Wiley Construction, we build our clients' projects the way we'd do it for Mom. We use 2x6 construction, while most building codes only require 2x4. The result is a much sturdier structure that will hold more insulation and be more energy efficient. We use Pella windows as a standard unit, Certainteed siding as standard, and 30 year architectural shingles as standard. Many times the details, such as quality of materials don't show themselves initially, but "the bitter taste of poor quality far outlasts the sweetness of a cheap price."
