digging or excavation, thus eliminating costly equipment
expenses and damage to surrounding landscape. Also, there is
no mess to clean up or soils to remove. Our SpeedPost
System™ is completely installed in 3 hours or less for most
projects. This allows for one inspection rather than
multiple inspections. Using the depth verification design,
the code official can easily verify depth by sliding a tape
measure down the center of the shaft, confirming the
footer’s location well below the frost line. Due to the
small, smooth surface-area of our post, frost-heave is
virtually eliminated; unlike concrete piers which have a
large, porous surface-area that allows frost to grip and
heave.
The SpeedPost System™ is eco-friendly and is often used in
environmentally-sensitive locations due to having no
vibration or invasive effects to its installation method.
The SpeedPost System™ is installed using compact,
specialized equipment. As the post is being installed, we
measure the torque resistance on the post which corresponds
to our engineered load chart. This allows the operator to
verify the load-capacity of each post installed. This is
superior to auguring a hole, which involves stopping at the
required depth by code and filling with concrete. With the
auguring method, there is also always the uncertainty of
whether or not the soil conditions will bear the load of
your project at the standard code depth.
